The MT 6000 sits above the MT 5500 in the same family, and the difference is in the power supply. It carries eight 22,000µF / 80V filter capacitors — a substantially larger energy reservoir, which is what the amplifier draws from in the instant a bass note demands current.

The rectifier only refills those capacitors a hundred times a second. Between those refills, the capacitors alone are running the amplifier. More capacitance means the rails hold up better through sustained low-frequency work — which you hear as bass that stays firm three hours into a set instead of gradually going soft.
